New Purchase: Used 32″ Vizio VX32L
Yesterday, I searched my local craigslist for a LCD TV for my bedroom. I found:
“2 year old 32” TV with remote in perfect condition,just upgrading to a larger TV,paided $597 originally/now $250.00 obo.” …
We shot a couple emails back and forth. He provided the model number, (VX32L) and confirmed that the TV is in good cond. with the remote. I checked eBay, and there are used sets in this condition that still sell for $300! The drive to pick this set up is about 30-45mins… so lets continue with the negotiation.
I offered $200, he countered with $225, I stuck with $200… and he said this is fair. Would I have paid $225, probably… I was just being straight forward as usual; here was my email & reasoning for offer:
…. I am considering newer 32″ sets that will be available for $300 new within the next couple of months. The sets will have a better design (no big ugly speaker below) with other improvements. For another $50, would be able to pick up a 1080p resolution TV relatively soon.
For my bedroom I would sacrifice on the design, style, and some of the newer improvements today if I could pick this up at my bargain price offer of $200. Your offer is reasonable, however, I need a bit extra to ensure that I am fully comfortable with my choice.
Thanks!
I’m adding this to my deals list! I’ll follow with a post once the TV sits comfortably on my bedroom dresser.
